ARCHITECTURAL VISIONS ON THE PRESENT

How do YOU perceive the present in architecture?

Today, boundaries encompassing our activity as architects are softening. Because technology is constantly evolving, time accelerates at an unprecedented rate. In this context, a question arises: how has architecture changed and how do we, as professionals, perceive it today?

In essence, the project entitled ARCHITECTURAL VISIONS ON THE PRESENT implies an open call to architects to express their vision, in a graphical manner, in reply to this question: How do you perceive the present in architecture?

Our scope is to collect as many personal views as possible, in order to create a general perspective on how architecture is perceived, in the current spatial and temporal context.

The end-product of this endeavour will be gathered, archived and exhibited during the 2014 Timişoara architecture annual a_ta. The first exhibition will take place on November 10th 2014, in Timişoara. For this reason, completed postcards are to be submitted until November 3rd 2014.

The collection of postacards will also be digitally available for viewing on www.anualadearhitectura.ro.

Postcards will be distributed in all regional branches of the Romanian Order of Architects OAR, where you will be able to get one and, once completed, submit it. Completed postcards can also be sent directly, express or via mail, at the address already marked on the back of the postcard.

ARCHITECTURAL VISIONS ON THE PRESENT is a project developed during the 2014 edition of the Timişoara architecture annual, themed present!. The annual is organized by the Timiş branch of OAR, with the financial support of OAR derived from the architectural services tax.
